Tell me about the current substrates and water quality of the present tank so I can give better advice. Thank you. Sorry about the delay but I just returned from field research.
PH 8.2
Temp. 26 celcsius
density 1.026
alkalinity 8dkh
amonia undectable
nitrate 0.2ppm
about 150 kg of live rock and live coralline sand medium grain.

I would move all the corals and fish into bins with a single powerhead in each bin first. Then, drain almost all the water into the new tank or holding containers. Then remove the substrate with the remaining water into another container. When adding back to the tank, use a sieve to replace the substrate ( keeps much of the fauna and rinses some of the detritus out) and add back the tank water. Allow this to settle for a day with water flow and filtration, then replace the rock and fill the tank with new seawater to capacity and wait one more day. Then replace the corals and fish.

So the fish and corals can be be in tank for two days with adequate circulation and wahter without anything happening to them?
I'm also interested in this subject because my upgrade to 500 is around the corner and I would like the tips and errors to avoid from those who have the experience. This will be of help to all of use who upsize in the future.

In my opinion they will survive. They survive in bags for days when transported to the places we buy them. In a bucket with a powerhead we guarantee a good oxigenation of the water. Although there will be streess they can survivie.
My other question for Eric is how much rock is recomended for this size aquarium?

Yes, they will be fine. As far as the amount of substrate, that depends on what you are trying to create. With a tank that large, you can create a spur and groove type tank, a patch reef type tank, a very open tank, one with lots of rock and caves...I think if you have sand and even a small amount of rock that it is more than enough to have a successful tank.
